Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-06-23

These terms govern your use of Salty — the API, MCP server, CLI, webhooks, and admin web app. By creating a workspace or calling the API, you agree to them.

Acceptance

By creating a workspace or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you use Salty on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it, and “you” refers to that organization.

The service

Salty is an agent-first CRM. It provides a REST API, a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, a command-line interface, outbound webhooks, and an admin web app for managing customer records and the AI agents that act on them.

Accounts and credentials

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials, including sk_live_… API keys, OAuth salty_oat_… tokens, and whsec_… webhook signing secrets. Keys and secrets are shown once at creation. You are responsible for all activity under your workspace, including the actions of any AI agents you authorize. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

Plans, billing, and cancellation

Salty offers Free, Solo, and Pro plans with the monthly call caps, record limits, and overage rates shown on the pricing page. Paid plans are billed in advance through Dodo Payments, which acts as the Merchant of Record and seller of record; applicable taxes (such as VAT/GST) are determined and collected by Dodo. You may set a hard_cap_api_calls to bound overage spend.

You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle — you keep your paid plan until then, after which the workspace returns to Free. Because subscriptions are billed in advance and access continues through the paid period, payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law; refund and order inquiries are handled by Dodo Payments as Merchant of Record.

Acceptable use

Do not use Salty for unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or abusive purposes; do not attempt to circumvent rate limits, usage caps, authentication, or other security controls; do not probe or disrupt the service except as permitted by our security policy; and do not use the service to store or transmit malware. We may suspend or limit workspaces that threaten the integrity, security, or availability of the service.

Your data and ownership

You retain all rights to the content you and your agents submit to your workspace. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit that content solely to provide and secure the service. We do not use your workspace CRM data to train models. We retain all rights to the Salty software, APIs, and brand. Feedback you provide may be used to improve the service.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available and may modify, add, or remove features over time. We may update plan limits or pricing prospectively with notice. We are not liable for unavailability caused by factors outside our reasonable control.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Salty will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us for the service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify Salty against claims arising from your content, your use of the service, the actions of agents you authorize, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your workspace at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or to protect the service. On termination, your right to use the service ends; you may export your data via the API beforehand.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to Salty’s place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts having jurisdiction there, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
